Principal's Message

I'm thrilled to begin another exciting year alongside our amazing students, committed staff, and supportive families. This school year is sure to bring creative exploration, fresh experiences, meaningful learning, and joyful connections for every student. Our team has been hard at work planning engaging and meaningful opportunities, and I can’t wait to see the incredible things we’ll accomplish together.

At the heart of a thriving school is a community where each student and family feels seen, heard, and valued. When our learning environment reflects the unique cultures, identities, and interests of each student, we create a place where all can flourish. I invite you to be part of that effort—whether by stopping to chat at drop-off, swinging by my office, or volunteering in the classroom or at school events through the Deer Canyon Parent Staff Organization. Your insights help shape the Deer Canyon experience, and together we can make this year exceptional for every student and family.

Families play a critical role in their student’s success, and we want to make sure you have the information you need to support your student(s). As always, you will be receiving weekly messages (Echoes Newsletters) on Friday evenings to keep you informed about what is happening at school.
